Aunt Julie Visits

8 Nov

So last weekend, Mr. Steve and I were blessed to have our Aunt Julie come up for a visit.  (She may have also been visiting Uncle James and Al also.  There’s really no way of knowing.)  She also brought her friends Tony and Elizabeth and they brought their son Benjamin and brought his friend Eric.  And I brought Mr. Steve.

Needless to say, we had a lovely time with her.  On Saturday, we had lunch at the Mall of America and spent some time shopping.  Then, after a quick tour of our new home we went to James and Als to make tacos and have dinner together.  After dinner we enjoyed a rousing game of Smart Buckets (also known as Smart Ass but there were some 13-year-olds present and we figured they’d never heard such language so we used Buckets instead) and Aunt Julie won!  We followed that up with a few rounds of Bananagrams.  I think Aunt Julie is the only person who loves Bananagrams as much as I do.

Sunday, we all enjoyed a walk together followed by lunch, a few more rounds of Banagrams and some cards.  Overall, it was a fantastic visit!

Oh, and I forgot the most important part.  On Saturday morning we all toured some local caves…something we happen to do a lot when visiting with Aunt Julie.  Well, these particular caves were known to be one of the most haunted places in St. Paul.  I only snapped a few pictures because it was dark but the flash washed everything out.

Here’s one:

Wait.  What was that?  Back near the garage door and the fire extinguisher?  Look again.

Do you see it?  Let’s take a closer look

AHH!  It’s a ghost.
